As it happens more and more often that Japanese artists publish their own English versions or have them translated, this should be brought in as a separate tag.

Scanlator tags are purely for creditting translators, if the artist does it themselves its already covered under the artist tag.......and often coincides with Poor Grammar (which isn't allowed on official translations on EH but is on Pururin), being pretty much the only case where we even consider allowing new uploads with that tag because official translations because 3rd party translation/grammar fixes or re-translations almost never happen to official translations.

I have played with this idea before myself as well to be honest but concluded there's not that much value to it given that most people only give a shit about the translation being from the artist itself if it can be brought up as excuse for it being Engrish.

If you got a better reason to have a tag for this anyway start the discussion on discord where conversation flows a bit easier, content tags (as well should be treated as one even if we do end up using it as scanlator tag, given that it's a general trait not a specific scanlator) that come up here without being pre-approved there are automatically rejected. (except if EH already has a tag for it, in which case moderators will probably have discussed already whether we want it to be a thing on Pururin as well or not)

O.k. the reasons are understandable.

I just noticed that there are more and more translations by the artists themselves, but that this is usually only mentioned somewhere in the comments.

I personally would prefer to be able to see the tags. But as I said, your reasons make sense.
