What is PururinFire? What can I download?

All galleries that are published are available as direct download here for a limited time. The primary purpose is to bridge the time it takes to upload files to remote hosts like DepositFiles. You need an account to download, and you can only download a limited amount per day. The good news is there are no waiting times or captchas to fill out. Remember Pururin is an online reader, these downloadable archives are just an extra.

What is a good program to read the doujinshi/manga I downloaded with?

HoneyView is highly recommended, it's an advanced and very fast image viewer perfect for reading manga. Most hotkeys and actions can easily be done with one hand too, which is usefull if you like to pet your cat while reading.
CDisplay is also a good viewer. No recommendations for OSX or Linux yet, sorry, but HoneyView runs fine in Wine.

Get the most out of browsing Pururin!

  • You can view two pages at a time! Click 'Western Style' or 'Manga Style' when viewing your image.
  • There is a small area on the left of each image that makes you go back a page instead of forward. This way you can easily navigate back and forward.
  • You can use the arrow keys or WASD on your keyboards to go back and forward when reading.
  • Hotkeys work on most other pages too! For example, you can use the arrow keys to go back and forward while browsing.
  • Did you know there is a light color scheme for the site? You can change themes in your preferences.
  • There are many other preferences you can set. Press the cog in the upper-right or visit the preferences page under 'Account' to change them.
  • The 'Browse' link on image pages quickly takes you back to your last position on the listing so you can continue browsing. No need to dig through your history!
  • Use tag favorites or blacklist to customize your browsing experience so you can quickly see which gallery you should check out and what to ignore.
  • You can get an RSS feed of every tag, so you can get only the updates you want!

Available hotkeys for Pururin!

  • Arrow keys or WASD While reading, use left/right or A/D to view the previous or next image. While browsing, go to the previous/next page.
  • Z While Reading: Quickly toggle image fit-to-width. While browsing: Show/hide info panels.
  • Number keys 1,2,3 Switch between resp. single page, double page manga or western style view while reading.
  • F Focus search.
  • X Boss key. Better known as the 'annnoying roommate' key or the 'mom didn't knock again' key. Might save you a few seconds if all else fails. Now you only have to worry about zipping your pants!
