I am sorry for the essay, but you claim that I don't understand the "wholesome feeling". Well, here is another perspective for you.

I am a female, and sometimes I specifically look for stories with tomboy heroine that I can relate to. I commented about her appearance because it feels out of character and only slapped on the very last second, which makes her change strikes me as not genuine. It looks more like an attempt to make her crush happy (hey I am more feminine!) instead of actually discover her self. I'm speaking from my own experiences where I also went through change such as finding that I enjoy playing with make ups and starting to experiment with clothing colors and designs. I used to wear baggy clothes and going out without make up.

Anyway, I think this plot serves to satisfy male' ego that they are the reason of a tomboy "discover" their womanhood. Some hentai do this, but there are others that keep the heroine consistent. IMO, here are examples of better portrayal of tomboy girls in hentai:

Great you relate to tomboys, I assume you are 1 to a degree.
It wasnt "slapped" perse, there is a time jump, and on that kind of narrative "last minute" changes are not rare, maybe it just weirded you out as you would not do something like that in that context, a girl changing like that for her crush do exists same the other way around.
And...yes, can you guess who are the primary consumer of porn? XD
My point still stands because you wont be able to relate to the feeling of males reading this and making comments like mine, the same way I just cant get fujoshis (even though there are male Yaoi fans, female are the main buyers)...

I brought up some other hentai because I think it reflects that even the industry offers variety. It isn't simply about male vs female perspective.
