The feels certainly pick up where the art is a little lacking. That said it's a good style for this story whether on purpose or accident since it makes the characters seem less like perfect anime characters and more like everyday people. I feel like i've actually seen this family before and that makes it feel that much warmer.

Idk why they couldn't stay in touch on the phone or something. I think the fact that they had sex before the marriage promise elevates it past just being a kid thing anyway.
